Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed the outcomes of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting held on May 29 in Astana during a recent telephone conversation.
According to a statement released by the Kremlin, the leaders reviewed the key decisions made during the summit, which focused on economic integration and cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) framework. Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the discussion also touched upon bilateral relations.
Furthermore, it was noted that President Putin extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Pashinyan during the call.
The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council serves as the highest governing body of the EAEU, an economic union of post-Soviet states located in Eurasia. The organization aims to facilitate the free movement of goods, services, capital, and labor among its member states, which include Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
