Türkiyədə son iki gündə məktəblərdə baş verən silahlı hücumlarla bağlı 83 nəfər saxlanılıb

Turkish law enforcement authorities have detained 83 individuals in connection with a series of armed attacks on schools in the Sanliurfa and Kahramanmaras regions over the past two days.

The General Directorate of Security of the Turkish Ministry of Interior reported that the operations were launched following the violent incidents, according to Operative Information Center-OMM citing TRT Haber. As part of the investigation into the school attacks, access to 940 social media accounts has been restricted, and 93 Telegram groups have been shut down by the authorities.

The wave of violence began on April 14, when an armed attack on a high school in the Siverek district of Sanliurfa left one person dead and 16 others injured. This was followed by a second tragedy on April 15 in Kahramanmaras, where a shooting at a school resulted in nine fatalities and 13 injuries. Turkish security forces continue to investigate the motives behind these coordinated or sequential attacks, focusing on digital platforms used to organize or incite the violence.

School safety remains a critical issue for regional security services, as authorities work to prevent the radicalization of youth through unregulated messaging apps. These incidents have prompted a nationwide debate in Turkey regarding security protocols at educational institutions and the monitoring of extremist content on social media platforms.
