A Turkish F-16 fighter jet crashed during a training exercise in the Ciftlikkoy district of Yalova province, Turkey.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing reports from NTV, the pilot successfully ejected from the aircraft before the crash occurred.

Emergency response teams, including firefighting units and medical personnel, have been dispatched to the crash site to secure the area and provide necessary assistance. Authorities have stated that the specific cause of the incident remains under investigation and will be determined following a thorough technical assessment.

The F-16 Fighting Falcon, originally developed by General Dynamics for the United States Air Force, remains a cornerstone of the Turkish Air Force's aerial capabilities. Turkey has operated a significant fleet of these multirole combat aircraft for decades, utilizing them for both national defense and international peacekeeping missions.
