The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan has held its first informative meeting regarding the upcoming certification process for staff working in centralized library systems, specifically within the library-bibliography automation and information-resource departments.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the meeting took place on June 19 in Baku, bringing together members of the Certification Commission and employees from the centralized library systems of the Baku and Absheron-Khizi regions. During the session, officials provided detailed information on the objectives, procedures, and evaluation criteria of the certification process, while addressing inquiries from the participants.
The certification process is designed to enhance the professional capabilities of human resources within the library sector, foster modern management and digital skills, and improve the overall quality of services provided to citizens. These measures are aligned with the priorities established in the "Culture Concept – 2040" document of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which aims to modernize the library system, accelerate digital transformation, and develop libraries into modern centers for knowledge and public communication. Future meetings are planned to maintain direct dialogue with library staff and ensure the efficient organization of the certification process.
