Planned maintenance and inspection works on electrical infrastructure will result in temporary power outages in parts of Baku and the Astara region on July 20, according to an announcement by Azerishig OJSC.

The Nizami District Power Supply and Sales Department reported that electricity supply will be restricted on Elshan Suleymanov Street in Baku due to repair works at a local transformer station. This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM.

Additionally, Azerishig OJSC stated that repair works will be conducted on the 35 kV "Lovain" overhead line, which originates from the 110/35/10 kV "Astara" substation. This scheduled maintenance is expected to affect electricity supply from 15:00 to 16:00 in parts of the Pensar, Kakalos, Shahagaji, Lovain, Siyaku, Hamosham, Toradi, Tangarud, and Chayoba villages in the Astara region.

"Once the repair works are completed, subscribers in the mentioned areas will be provided with more reliable and higher-quality electricity," the official statement noted.

Azerishig OJSC regularly conducts such planned maintenance across the country to modernize the electrical grid, improve network stability, and reduce technical losses. These infrastructure upgrades are part of a broader national strategy to ensure a consistent and sustainable energy supply for both residential and industrial consumers in Azerbaijan.
