New state fees have been established for the registration of seed operators and the issuance of certificates confirming the variety and sowing quality of seeds in Azerbaijan. These changes are part of broader efforts to streamline agricultural regulations and ensure quality control in the sector.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, these updates are reflected in the amendments to the Law "On State Duty," for which President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on implementation.
Under the updated legislation, the following state fees have been set:
- 50 AZN for the issuance of an extract from the information system of the relevant executive authority in the field of selection and seed production;
- 10 AZN for the issuance of a duplicate of such an extract;
- 25 AZN for the issuance of a certificate confirming the variety and sowing quality of seeds (per document).
The agricultural sector remains a strategic priority for the Republic of Azerbaijan, particularly in the context of ensuring food security and increasing the export potential of non-oil products. By standardizing certification processes and fees, the government aims to create a more transparent and efficient regulatory environment for farmers and seed producers, ultimately supporting the modernization of the country's agrarian infrastructure.
