A monument has been erected in memory of a security guard who was fatally wounded during a shooting incident carried out by a student at the Anapa Industrial College. Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Anapa Mayor Svetlana Maslova provided this information in a statement to TASS.
According to the mayor, a memorial featuring a photograph of the fallen guard has been installed at the educational institution to honor his memory. The city head noted that the deceased was a kind and caring individual who was well-regarded by the students. "Today, his memory was honored, and all necessary support will be provided to his family. Assistance will be ensured not only by local authorities but also by the technical school where he worked and the security company," Maslova emphasized.
Anapa, a resort town in the Krasnodar Krai of Russia, has seen increased security measures in educational institutions following the incident. Such commemorative acts are part of a broader effort to recognize the bravery of first responders and staff members who act to protect students during emergency situations. The local administration continues to coordinate with law enforcement and educational boards to enhance safety protocols across the region's schools and colleges.
