Donald Tramp NATO-nu sərt tənqid etdi: "Bu, birtərəfli yoldur"

US President Donald Trump has stated that the current relationship with NATO member states does not provide reciprocal benefits for the United States.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Trump shared these remarks on his "Truth Social" platform. He criticized the US position within the alliance, characterizing the current arrangement as a "one-way street."

President Trump argued that Washington's continued commitment to the existing NATO framework is unsustainable, asserting that other member nations are not providing sufficient support to the alliance. To substantiate his claims, he shared a chart detailing the military expenditures of NATO countries. The figures cited indicate that US military spending stands at $999 billion, compared to $90.5 billion for the United Kingdom, $66.5 billion for France, $48.8 billion for Italy, and $44.3 billion for Poland.

It should be noted that President Trump has frequently voiced concerns regarding the disparity in defense spending among NATO members. He has consistently emphasized that the United States bears a disproportionate share of the alliance's financial burden, arguing that Washington does not receive adequate economic or strategic returns commensurate with its contributions. NATO, established in 1949, remains the world's largest intergovernmental military alliance, and the debate over the "two percent" defense spending target has been a recurring theme in transatlantic relations for decades.
