The Anti-Corruption General Directorate under the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan has conducted large-scale operations within the regional departments of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription. According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the operations took place in the Jabrayil, Agdash, and Garadagh (Baku) district departments, resulting in the detention of several high-ranking officials.
The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office confirmed the facts to Report. Additionally, a specific operation in the Saatlı district department led to the arrest of two officials on bribery charges. The detained individuals have been transported to Baku, where court-ordered preventive measures are expected to be finalized in the coming days. Investigations are reportedly ongoing in several other regional branches of the service.
These measures are part of Azerbaijan's broader systemic efforts to enhance transparency and combat corruption within state institutions. The State Service for Mobilization and Conscription is responsible for military registration, conscription, and mobilization activities in Azerbaijan.
