The United States military continued its series of overnight airstrikes targeting various regions across Iran, according to reports from international media outlets.
As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the strikes targeted a series of locations across the provinces of Isfahan, Yazd, Lorestan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Hormozgan, Fars, and Khuzestan.
The operations impacted several key cities and strategic areas, including Isfahan, Khorramabad and Borujerd in Lorestan province, Konarak in Sistan and Baluchestan, as well as Qeshm Island, Jask, and Bandar Abbas in Hormozgan province. Additionally, strikes were reported in Andimeshk, Omidiyeh, and Ahvaz in Khuzestan province, alongside the city of Yazd and Firuzabad in Fars province.
Local authorities in Khuzestan province previously confirmed that strikes on Ahvaz resulted in four fatalities and five injuries. Further reports indicate that two individuals were injured in Bandar Abbas, and two others sustained injuries during drone strikes targeting Khorramabad.
These military actions represent a significant escalation in the ongoing geopolitical tensions within the Middle East. The region has experienced heightened instability following recent shifts in international diplomatic relations and security policies under the administration of US President Donald Trump, who has emphasized a strategy of direct pressure regarding regional security concerns.
