The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has officially denied allegations regarding missile and drone strikes against neighboring countries.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Tasnim news agency, that the IRGC categorically rejected claims circulating in various media outlets suggesting that Iran had targeted locations on the southern shores of the Persian Gulf using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and missile systems.
In an official statement, the organization clarified its position on the rumors: "If such incidents had occurred, they would undoubtedly be provocations organized by enemies—specifically Israel or the United States." The IRGC emphasized that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have not conducted any military operations against any country during the current ceasefire period. The statement further noted that should Iran strike any target, it would announce such actions openly and officially, asserting that any information not originating from official sources has no connection to the country's military forces.
The Persian Gulf remains one of the world's most sensitive geopolitical regions, serving as a vital corridor for global energy supplies. Tensions in the area often lead to heightened military readiness among regional powers and international actors. This denial comes amid a complex security environment where misinformation and psychological warfare are frequently employed to influence regional stability and diplomatic relations between Iran and its neighbors.
