Sabah has successfully kicked off its UEFA Champions League campaign with a victory.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the team, led by head coach Valdas Dambrauskas, hosted the Welsh club TNS in the first leg of the tournament's first qualifying round.
The match, held at the Bank Respublika Arena in Masazir, concluded with a 2-0 victory for the Azerbaijani representative. Velko Simic opened the scoring in the 66th minute, followed by a goal from Kahim Parris in the 84th minute, securing a comfortable lead for the home side.
The UEFA Champions League is the most prestigious club football tournament in Europe, organized by the Union of European Football Associations.
