Azerbaijan is preparing for a significant rise in temperatures, with forecasts indicating that the mercury will climb to as high as 39°C across the country on July 13.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorology Service has issued an official weather update regarding the upcoming conditions. In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be predominantly dry, accompanied by a moderate north-westerly wind.
Temperatures in the capital are projected to range between 20-25°C at night and 30-35°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure is expected to be 757 mm Hg, with relative humidity levels fluctuating between 70-80% at night and 50-55% during the day.
Across the regions of Azerbaijan, dry weather is also expected, though there is a possibility of short-term rain, lightning, and hail in some mountainous areas during the day. Nighttime and morning hours may see fog in certain highland regions, with a moderate easterly wind prevailing. Temperatures in the regions are forecast to reach 22-27°C at night and 34-39°C during the day. In mountainous areas, temperatures will range from 14-18°C at night to 23-28°C during the day, with some locations potentially reaching 32-35°C.
