The investigation into a criminal case involving Rasim Alovsat oglu Hasanov, who is accused of accepting bribes and committing other illegal acts during his tenure as the head of the Central Military Medical Commission of the Ministry of Defense, has been concluded. The case was spearheaded by the Anti-Corruption General Directorate with the Prosecutor General.
According to information provided by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the preliminary investigation established reasonable suspicions that Hasanov, while serving in the aforementioned position between 2021 and 2025, abused his official powers. He is alleged to have repeatedly accepted various sums of money as bribes from individuals in exchange for certifying the discharge of military personnel and committed official forgery.
Based on the evidence collected, Rasim Hasanov has been charged under Articles 311.3.2 and 311.3.3 (repeated bribery in large amounts), 313 (official forgery), and 341.2.3 (abuse of official power resulting in grave consequences) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Following a motion by the investigative body and a submission by the prosecutor overseeing the investigation, a court order has placed him under arrest as a preventive measure. The criminal case has been sent to the Baku Military Court for consideration.
