On September 1, President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Republic of Türkiye in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the leaders emphasized that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are rooted in brotherhood and strategic alliance. Both heads of state expressed satisfaction with the continued expansion of cooperation across all sectors.

The discussion highlighted that, in accordance with the "One nation, two states" principle, the two countries consistently support one another during both prosperous and challenging times. The leaders exchanged views on further strengthening regional peace and stability.

Furthermore, the presidents reviewed the prospects of their allied relations, the regional agenda, and other issues of mutual interest. This meeting underscores the enduring diplomatic ties between Baku and Ankara, which serve as a cornerstone for security and economic development in the South Caucasus and broader Eurasia.
