Alimirzamin Gavvam oglu Asgarov has been recalled from his position as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Tajikistan. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree regarding this diplomatic transition.
Under a separate decree issued by the head of state, Asgarov has been appointed as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan. Concurrently, President Ilham Aliyev signed another decree appointing Elkhan Jahangir oglu Gahramanov as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Tajikistan.
These diplomatic appointments are part of the ongoing rotation of Azerbaijan's diplomatic corps, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and strategic partnerships with Central Asian nations. Kazakhstan and Tajikistan remain key partners for Azerbaijan within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States and various regional economic cooperation initiatives, where Baku actively pursues deeper integration and political dialogue.
