President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has shared a video on his social media accounts on the occasion of the Novruz holiday.
According to AZERTAC, the post features the following remarks from the head of state: "For the sixth year, I am celebrating the Novruz holiday in Garabagh. Since 2021, I have spent the eve of Novruz in Garabagh every year, and we light the Novruz bonfire together in Garabagh. This is a great happiness."
Novruz, which marks the arrival of spring and the vernal equinox, is one of the most cherished traditional holidays in Azerbaijan, symbolizing rebirth, renewal, and nature's awakening. Since the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, the lighting of the traditional bonfire in the liberated territories of Garabagh has become a significant symbol of national unity and the return of life to the region. The holiday is celebrated across the country with various festivities, folk games, and traditional sweets.
