President Ilham Aliyev has emphasized the country's deepening cooperation with international partners on critical energy cable infrastructure projects. The President made these remarks during his address at the official opening ceremony of the 31st Baku Energy Forum.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of state highlighted the strategic importance of the Black Sea energy cable project. This initiative is set to connect Azerbaijan with Georgia, extending across the Black Sea to Romania, Hungary, and several other European nations. Furthermore, President Ilham Aliyev noted that another significant project, the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey-Bulgaria overland electricity transmission line, is currently in the implementation phase.
The Baku Energy Forum serves as a premier platform for discussing the future of the global energy sector, with a specific focus on the Caspian region's role in ensuring energy security. By expanding its export infrastructure, Azerbaijan continues to solidify its position as a reliable energy supplier to European markets, facilitating the transition toward diversified and sustainable energy corridors.
