Pezeşkian: Xameneinin qisası alınacaq

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared that official Tehran considers it an exclusive right to avenge the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Al Jazeera, reports that the head of state released a special statement regarding the matter.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran considers the provision of justice and revenge as a duty and a legal right; we will make every possible effort to fulfill this obligation," he emphasized.

It should be noted that the Iranian authorities officially confirmed the death of Khamenei on the night leading into Sunday. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has claimed responsibility for the incident.

The death of the Supreme Leader marks a significant turning point in the Middle East, as Ali Khamenei had held the highest constitutional and religious authority in Iran since 1989. Under the Iranian political system, the Supreme Leader has the final say on all state matters, including foreign policy, defense, and nuclear programs. This development is expected to trigger a complex succession process within the Assembly of Experts and may lead to increased regional tensions.
