Negotiations aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine are set to continue next week following recent diplomatic engagements.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy, Steven Witkoff, announced the upcoming schedule for the peace process.

According to Witkoff, significant progress was achieved during the latest round of meetings held in Abu Dhabi. Highlighting the positive momentum between the parties, the envoy stated:

“Negotiations will resume in approximately one week. We are observing many constructive points between Russia and Ukraine. Diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict are being intensified,”

Earlier, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the next meeting of the security group, comprising representatives from Russia, the United States, and Ukraine, is scheduled for February 1 in Abu Dhabi. Moscow officials view the establishment of direct dialogue as a positive step toward a potential settlement of the ongoing hostilities.

The diplomatic push comes amid a renewed international focus on ending the conflict through mediated dialogue. Abu Dhabi has emerged as a key neutral ground for these high-stakes discussions, facilitating communication between Washington, Moscow, and Kyiv. Since US President Donald Trump assumed office in January 2025, the administration has prioritized a swift diplomatic resolution to the crisis, emphasizing a framework for long-term regional stability.
