Law enforcement agencies in Azerbaijan detained 30 individuals who were on the wanted list during operations conducted on March 23.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that the measures were part of ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and legal accountability. According to the ministry, the group of detainees included 16 individuals specifically sought as debtors, all of whom were subsequently handed over to the relevant authorities for further legal proceedings.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan regularly conducts such targeted operations across the country to locate persons evading investigation, trial, or the execution of court sentences. These activities are integral to the MIA's broader mandate of maintaining internal stability, combating crime, and ensuring the enforcement of judicial decisions in Baku and other regions. The ministry continues to utilize modern surveillance and investigative techniques to enhance the efficiency of its search operations.
