Orban: Zelenski dörd ildir ki, Macarıstanı münaqişəyə sürükləməyə çalışır

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of attempting to involve Hungary in the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia for the past four years.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Orban shared these remarks on the X social media platform, highlighting growing tensions between the two neighboring nations. The Prime Minister criticized the Ukrainian leadership for seeking external support to pressure Hungary into a more active role in the regional hostilities.

"For four years, you have been working to drag Hungary into the war between your country and Russia. You received support from Brussels and secured the backing of the Hungarian opposition. In recent days, you closed the 'Druzhba' oil pipeline, which is vital for Hungary's energy supply," Orban stated in his post. He further called on Ukraine to immediately restore the operations of the pipeline to ensure regional energy security.

The Druzhba oil pipeline is one of the world's largest crude oil pipeline networks, originating in Russia and passing through Belarus to reach Poland and Germany. A southern branch extends through Ukraine to supply Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. As a landlocked country, Hungary remains heavily dependent on this infrastructure for its domestic energy needs, making the pipeline's operational status a matter of national strategic importance for the government in Budapest.
