Unstable weather conditions currently observed across the regions of Azerbaijan are expected to continue until August 17, with intermittent rainfall forecasted throughout the period.

According to the forecast, localized heavy downpours, lightning, and hail are expected. There is a high probability that precipitation will intensify, particularly in mountainous and foothill regions during the nights and mornings of August 14 and 15.
Meteorologists have warned that water levels in rivers may rise, and short-term flash floods are possible in some mountain rivers due to the anticipated heavy rainfall. Residents and relevant authorities are advised to take necessary precautions against potential weather-related hazards.
Such weather fluctuations are not uncommon in Azerbaijan during the summer months, often resulting from the interaction of air masses moving from the Caspian Sea with the country's diverse topography, which ranges from lowlands to the high peaks of the Greater and Lesser Caucasus mountains.
