The women's football team of Neftchi has concluded its campaign in the UEFA Champions League after competing in the first qualifying round.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the squad, led by head coach Siyasat Asgarov, faced Greece's PAOK in the decisive match of Group 1.
The encounter, held in the Greek city of Veria, ended in a 3-0 victory for PAOK. With this result, the Greek hosts have advanced to the second qualifying round, while the Baku-based club has been eliminated from the tournament.
It is worth noting that Neftchi had previously secured a spot in this decisive match by defeating Montenegro's Buducnost in the semifinal stage. The UEFA Women's Champions League is the premier club competition in European women's football, bringing together top teams from across the continent to compete for the prestigious title.
