New leadership appointments have been made at regional colleges operating in the cities of Sheki and Ganja.
The State Agency for Science and Higher Education (EATDA) informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that relevant orders have been signed regarding these appointments. According to the orders, Gunel Mustafayeva has been appointed as the deputy director for academic affairs at the Sheki State Regional College, while Khayal Poladov has been named the deputy director for educational affairs at the Ganja Regional College.
Gunel Mustafayeva graduated from the Sheki branch of the Azerbaijan Teachers' Institute with a degree in History. She began her career in 2007 as a history teacher at the Ashaghi Goynuk village secondary school in the Sheki region. From 2020 until her current appointment, she served as the director of the same educational institution. Mustafayeva has participated in various professional development programs, including the "A Teacher's Manifesto" program at ADA University and the "Innovative School Directors" project.
Khayal Poladov received his higher education in Geography Teaching from the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University. He started his professional career in 2006 as a geography teacher at the Kh. Jafarov secondary school in the Tovuz region. Between 2009 and 2022, he continued his activities at the R. Aliyev secondary school. From 2022 until his recent appointment, Poladov served as the director of the Yaniqli village secondary school in the Tovuz region.
These appointments are part of Azerbaijan's ongoing efforts to strengthen the management of regional educational institutions and enhance the quality of vocational and specialized secondary education. The State Agency for Science and Higher Education continues to prioritize the placement of experienced pedagogical professionals in leadership roles to ensure the modernization of the country's academic infrastructure in line with national educational standards.
