Khalig Gahraman oglu Rahmanov has been appointed as the Head of the Apparatus of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the ministry, reports that Rahmanov was born in 1963 and is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Baku State University.
Rahmanov's professional career began in 1981, serving in various capacities within organizations under the Baku City Executive Power until 1992. He subsequently worked as a leading lawyer, chief specialist, and department head at the State Property Committee from 1992 to 2000. Between 2000 and 2025, he held several senior positions within the Ministry of Finance, including Head of the Legal Department and Deputy Head of the Ministry's Apparatus. In 2012, he was awarded the medal "For Distinction in Civil Service" by the decree of the President of Azerbaijan.
The Ministry of Finance plays a pivotal role in the economic governance of Azerbaijan, responsible for developing and implementing the state's fiscal policy, managing public debt, and overseeing the state budget. The appointment of experienced personnel to the Apparatus is part of ongoing efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and ensure the effective execution of financial reforms in the country.
