Heavy traffic congestion has been reported across several major highways and central streets in Baku, causing significant delays for commuters in the capital.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that according to the Intellectual Transport Management Center (ITMC), the density is particularly high on arterial routes leading toward the city center and key metro stations.

According to official data, the following routes are currently experiencing the highest levels of congestion: Baku-Sumgait highway toward the "20 January" metro station; Alı Mustafayev Street toward Ziya Bunyadov Avenue; Mikayıl Mushfiq Street from the "Badamdar" circle toward School-Lyceum No. 20; Babek Avenue toward the center; Heydar Aliyev Avenue (main road) toward the center; Tbilisi Avenue from the "20 January" metro station toward the center; and Yusif Safarov Street toward the center.

Additional delays are noted on 28 May Street, Khatai Avenue, Rashid Behbudov Street toward the Central Bank, Binagadi highway, and the Airport highway toward the "Koroglu" metro station. The Operative Information Center-OMM advises drivers to utilize alternative routes where possible and to exercise caution by accounting for current road conditions to ensure safety.

Traffic management in Baku has become a priority for the Republic of Azerbaijan as the capital continues to grow as a regional hub. The Intellectual Transport Management Center regularly monitors the city's infrastructure to provide real-time updates, aiming to improve urban mobility and reduce the environmental impact of idling vehicles in the metropolitan area.
