Müdafiə Nazirliyi Türkiyəyə raket hücumu ilə bağlı bəyanat yaydı

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan has issued an official statement regarding the missile attack directed at the territory of the Republic of Turkiye.

The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the Press Service of the Ministry of Defense that Baku strongly denounces the provocation aimed at regional stability.

"We resolutely condemn the missile attack carried out against the territory of the Republic of Turkiye, which was neutralized over Gaziantep. Such actions pose a serious threat to regional peace and security and are unacceptable. We express our full solidarity with the brotherly Republic of Turkiye and support the efforts of the Turkish government to ensure the security of its population and territory. Azerbaijan stands firmly by Turkiye," the statement emphasized.

The defense cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkiye is rooted in the Shusha Declaration, signed in 2021, which establishes a formal alliance and mutual security guarantees between the two nations. This latest expression of support underscores the "one nation, two states" philosophy that defines the strategic partnership between Baku and Ankara. Regional security remains a top priority for both countries as they continue to coordinate on defense and counter-terrorism initiatives in the South Caucasus and beyond.
