Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has announced that Israel will intensify its strikes on Iranian territory in response to ongoing threats.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the minister emphasized the scale of these operations will expand to encompass additional targets. According to Katz, this escalation will occur if Iran continues to launch missile attacks against civilian populations.
The statement was issued following a comprehensive assessment of the current security situation. Katz noted that both he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have issued repeated warnings to Tehran, demanding an immediate cessation of missile strikes on Israeli cities. "Despite these warnings, the firing continues," Katz stated, adding that the military will now strengthen its strikes and broaden their geographical scope.
The Defense Minister further clarified that the upcoming operations will specifically target facilities that facilitate the creation and deployment of weapons used against civilians. This development comes amid heightened regional tensions and follows a series of direct military exchanges between the two nations. In recent months, the security landscape in the Middle East has shifted significantly, leading to increased international diplomatic efforts to prevent a wider regional conflict. Israel maintains that its actions are necessary measures for self-defense and the protection of its sovereignty.
