According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing international media reports, the Supreme Leader approved the request submitted by the head of the judiciary to pardon or commute the sentences of these individuals.
This decree represents the first official amnesty decision issued by Mojtaba Khamenei since assuming the role of Supreme Leader. Eid al-Ghadir is a significant religious observance in the Islamic calendar, particularly within the Shia tradition, commemorating the event at the Ghadir Khumm oasis.
