The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that its forces conducted strikes against fuel and energy infrastructure, military industrial facilities, and port installations across Ukraine.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Russian military provided details regarding its recent operations, confirming that strikes were carried out overnight using precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The ministry stated that in Kyiv, the "Fire Point" plant, which produces cruise missiles, and the "Aerobavovna" facility, involved in UAV production, were hit. Additionally, the "Darnitsa" locomotive depot, a key component of railway transport infrastructure, was targeted. In the Kyiv region, reports indicated that a workshop producing unmanned maritime vessels and an oil terminal were also struck.
Operations extended to the city and region of Odessa. The Russian military claimed to have destroyed warehouses storing Western-supplied weapons and military equipment at the Odessa port, alongside fuel storage tanks. Furthermore, military warehouses at the Chornomorsk port were reportedly hit.
The ministry also confirmed strikes on critical infrastructure supporting port operations, including an electrical power station and three transformer substations. A UAV assembly workshop and the Orlovka border crossing and ferry terminal were also listed as targets. The Russian Ministry of Defense did not provide further details regarding the specific damage assessment or casualties resulting from these strikes.
The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which escalated significantly in February 2022, has frequently involved large-scale strikes on energy and military infrastructure. Both sides continue to target logistics and production capabilities as part of their broader military strategies.
