Azerbaijan MFA Condoles with Pakistan Over Deadly Fire

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan (MFA) has extended its deepest condolences to Pakistan following a tragic fire in the city of Karachi.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the ministry shared a post on its official X (formerly Twitter) account expressing profound sadness over the loss of innocent lives and the injuries sustained during the blaze at a local shopping center.

The Azerbaijani side conveyed its sincere sympathies to the families of the victims, as well as to the brotherly people and government of Pakistan, wishing a speedy recovery to those injured in the incident.

Azerbaijan and Pakistan share a deep-rooted strategic partnership characterized by strong political, economic, and humanitarian ties. The two nations frequently demonstrate mutual support during times of national tragedy, reflecting a relationship built on shared values and historical cooperation. Karachi, Pakistan's largest city and financial hub, has faced several industrial safety challenges in recent years, prompting increased government focus on fire safety regulations in commercial hubs.
