The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan has initiated centralized final examinations for the first time across art schools and centers operating under its jurisdiction.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Ministry, the examination process commenced on June 8 in art schools and centers located in Baku. Starting June 10, these centralized final exams will expand to cover all relevant educational institutions within the Ministry of Culture's system across Azerbaijan.
Approximately 8,000 students are expected to participate in the examinations for the current academic year. The primary objective of this initiative is to objectively assess students' theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and creative potential acquired during their studies, as well as to measure the quality of education through a unified approach.
The examinations are organized in accordance with approved programs for specific specialties. Necessary organizational and methodological measures have been implemented to ensure the process is transparent, objective, and systematic. This newly implemented approach is significant for improving assessment mechanisms in the field of art education, establishing unified standards for the graduation process, and more accurately determining student outcomes.
In a significant modernization effort, the Ministry plans to issue electronic certificates to graduates for the first time this year based on the exam results. This innovation is designed to make the documentation process more agile, transparent, and aligned with contemporary digital standards. The Ministry of Culture continues to prioritize the digitalization of educational services to enhance accessibility and efficiency for students across the country.
