Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov held a reception for citizens in the village of Aghali in Zangilan today. The meeting included residents from the Zangilan, Qubadli, and Jabrayil districts, focusing on agricultural development and local concerns in the region.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Ministry of Agriculture, the reception was attended by heads of various departments and subordinate bodies of the ministry. The citizens' appeals primarily concerned the provision of land plots in the liberated territories, the distribution of subsidies, discounts on breeding animals, and employment opportunities. Minister Mammadov listened to the grievances and issued specific instructions for their resolution in accordance with legislative requirements. Some issues were resolved immediately, while others were taken under control for further investigation or referred to relevant government agencies.
The village of Aghali is the first settlement rebuilt under the "Smart Village" project in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan following the 44-day Patriotic War. The return of former internally displaced persons to these areas is a key component of the "Great Return" program. The Ministry of Agriculture plays a vital role in this process by supporting the restoration of agricultural activities, which serve as the primary economic backbone for the newly resettled communities in the East Zangezur and Garabagh economic regions.
