Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has extended his congratulations to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the citizens of Russia on the occasion of Russia Day.
According to the press service of the Belarusian President, as reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, Lukashenko highlighted the deep-rooted historical bonds shared between the Belarusian and Russian peoples in his congratulatory message.
The Belarusian leader noted that for centuries, Belarusians and Russians have stood shoulder to shoulder, overcoming challenges together and preserving the memory of their shared achievements and victories for future generations. Russia Day, celebrated annually on June 12, marks the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic in 1990, a significant milestone in the country's modern history.
