The Kremlin has commented on China's recent ballistic missile tests.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov addressed the issue during a press briefing, characterizing China's missile testing as an internal matter and a sovereign right.

Peskov described Beijing's efforts to strengthen its military potential as a "natural process." He further emphasized that China's actions in the Asia-Pacific region do not pose a threat to any other state and are not directed against third parties.

The spokesperson also highlighted the developing cooperation between Russia and China, particularly in the naval sector, noting that this partnership is defensive in nature.

Reports suggest that the Chinese Navy conducted a ballistic missile test using a "Type 094" strategic submarine-launched missile cruiser near the Lushun base in the Yellow Sea. This development follows shortly after the signing of a new military agreement between Australia and Fiji, which analysts suggest is aimed at balancing China's growing influence in the region.

The Asia-Pacific region has become a focal point of geopolitical competition in recent years, with major powers increasing their military presence and strategic alliances. China's military modernization program, which includes advancements in naval and missile capabilities, remains a subject of close observation by global powers and regional neighbors concerned with maintaining the balance of power.
