The period for providing salary supplements to medical workers involved in measures to combat the new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in Azerbaijan has been extended until July 1, 2025.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a corresponding decree to this effect. The document amends the previous regulations regarding the determination of term-based additions to the wages of healthcare personnel working under pandemic conditions.
The Cabinet of Ministers initially introduced these financial incentives to support frontline healthcare professionals during the peak of the global pandemic. This extension ensures that doctors, nurses, and other medical staff continuing to monitor and manage COVID-19 cases in Azerbaijan receive additional social protection and compensation for their specialized services. The decision reflects the government's ongoing commitment to maintaining public health security and supporting the medical workforce in the post-pandemic transition period.
