UK Prime Minister and leader of the Labour Party, Keir Starmer, has announced that he has no intention of resigning despite the recent departure of the defense secretary and several other high-ranking officials.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing international media reports, Starmer emphasized his commitment to fulfilling the mandate he received from voters in 2024 and serving his country.
“As Prime Minister, I intend to finish the job I was elected to do. Therefore, I have no intention of stepping back from the commitment I made in 2024,” he emphasized.
Political analysts suggest that the resignation of Defense Secretary John Healey, his deputy, and two other aides has dealt a significant blow to the credibility of the Starmer administration. These departures have sparked widespread speculation regarding the stability of the current government and the potential for further political realignments within the Labour Party.
