A landmine explosion has occurred in the Kalbajar district, resulting in injuries to livestock.
According to the "Operative Information Center-OMM", the incident was recorded in an area near the border with the Lachin district.
While no human casualties were reported as a result of the explosion, three head of small cattle were injured.
It should be noted that similar incidents have occurred previously in this area, which remains heavily contaminated with mines planted during the nearly 30-year occupation by Armenian forces. Since the liberation of these territories in 2020, Azerbaijan has been conducting extensive demining operations to ensure the safety of returning residents and to facilitate large-scale reconstruction and infrastructure projects in the region.
