Karvan-Yevlax has secured its second consecutive victory in the Misli Premier League, continuing its recent positive momentum in the national championship.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the regional representative hosted Shamakhi in the XXVIII round of the tournament. Building on their dominant 4-1 performance against Kapaz in the previous round, the home side managed to overcome their opponents with a narrow 1-0 scoreline. The decisive and only goal of the match was scored by Joy-Lance Mickels in the 39th minute.
The Misli Premier League is the top professional football division in Azerbaijan, featuring the country's leading clubs competing for the national title and spots in European competitions. Following this win, Karvan-Yevlax has increased its points total to 14, though it remains in 12th place at the bottom of the standings. Shamakhi currently occupies 7th place with 32 points. In other league action, Turan Tovuz defeated Araz-Naxchivan with three unanswered goals, while the encounter between Zira and Neftchi ended in a 1-1 draw. The current round of the championship is scheduled to conclude on April 19.
