Qarabag FK is set to play its next match in the UEFA Europa League today.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the team, led by head coach Gurban Gurbanov, will host Bulgaria's CSKA Sofia in the first leg of the tournament's second qualifying round in Baku.
The match will kick off at 20:00 at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium. The game will be officiated by Italian FIFA referee Daniele Chiffi. The return leg between the two clubs is scheduled to take place in Sofia on July 30.
Qarabag FK, based in Aghdam, is Azerbaijan's most successful football club in European competitions. The team has consistently represented the country in the group stages of major UEFA tournaments, including the Champions League and Europa League, significantly raising the profile of Azerbaijani football on the international stage. The Tofiq Bahramov Stadium, where the match is being held, remains a historic venue for Azerbaijani sports, named after the legendary referee who officiated the 1966 FIFA World Cup final.
