The Operative Information Center-OMM, which coordinates inter-agency efforts in Azerbaijan, noted that all necessary health and security protocols were followed during the transition. The group of evacuees includes both local residents and foreign nationals who were granted passage into Azerbaijan under official supervision.
The border between Azerbaijan and Iran serves as a critical transit point for regional commerce and travel. In recent years, the Cabinet of Ministers and relevant state agencies have implemented specific measures to regulate border crossings in response to public health requirements and regional security dynamics. This latest evacuation reflects Azerbaijan's ongoing commitment to managing its borders while facilitating the safe passage of its citizens and residents during periods of heightened necessity.
