Israel has carried out an airstrike targeting the Taleghan nuclear facility in Iran.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released an official statement regarding the operation.
"As part of a series of strikes conducted in Tehran in recent days, the Israeli Air Force, acting on reliable intelligence, struck another Iranian nuclear program facility. The Taleghan site was utilized by the regime to develop capabilities essential for the creation of nuclear weapons," the statement said.
The Israel Defense Forces added that during attacks on Iran in June 2025, Israel systematically targeted research centers and infrastructure associated with Tehran's nuclear program; however, Iran has continued to advance its nuclear weapons capabilities. It should be noted that a large-scale joint Israeli-American operation against Iran commenced on February 28.
The Taleghan facility, located within the Parchin military complex, has long been a point of concern for international monitors and intelligence agencies. Historically linked to past nuclear weapons research, the site's destruction represents a significant escalation in the ongoing efforts to dismantle Iran's strategic military infrastructure. This operation follows months of heightened regional tensions and repeated warnings from international leaders regarding the acceleration of uranium enrichment and nuclear research activities in the region.
