Medical infrastructure in Iran's Tehran province has sustained significant damage following strikes by the United States and Israel.
The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Iranian media, reports that the attacks have severely impacted the region's emergency response capabilities. Mohammad Ismail Tavakoli, the head of Tehran province's emergency services, confirmed that at least 22 emergency medical stations were damaged and 21 ambulances were completely destroyed during the operations.
Tavakoli further noted that the strikes resulted in casualties among medical staff. According to the official, one emergency worker was killed and 51 others sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of the strikes conducted by the US and Israel in the province.
These developments come amid heightened regional tensions and a series of military engagements. Under the leadership of US President Donald Trump, the United States has intensified its strategic operations in the region, citing national security interests and the necessity of neutralizing specific threats. The targeting of infrastructure in and around the capital province of Tehran marks a significant phase in the ongoing geopolitical confrontation, raising concerns regarding the resilience of civilian emergency services during active conflicts.
