İran parlamenti: ABŞ gizli şəkildə quru əməliyyatı planlaşdırır

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has claimed that while the United States is publicly sending messages regarding potential negotiations, it is secretly planning a ground operation against the country.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Ghalibaf made these remarks during a recent address, emphasizing a state of high military readiness in response to perceived threats.

"The enemy claims to be sending messages of negotiations and dialogue, but in reality, they are preparing for a ground attack. They do not realize that our people are waiting for American soldiers to step onto our land to open fire on them and permanently punish their partners in the region," Ghalibaf stated.

The speaker's comments come amid a significant escalation in regional tensions. On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran. Tel Aviv stated that the objective of these strikes is to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. For his part, US President Donald Trump has declared his intention to destroy Iran's navy and defense industry, while also calling on the country's citizens to overthrow the current regime.

The internal situation in Iran remains volatile following reports on the night of March 1, when Iranian television announced the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Reports indicate that members of his family also lost their lives during the attacks. Furthermore, a strike on a school in the southern city of Minab resulted in 175 fatalities, the majority of whom were students. On March 9, the Ayatollah's son, Mojtaba Khamenei, was elected as the new Supreme Leader.

This escalation marks one of the most severe military confrontations in the Middle East in recent decades. The involvement of US President Donald Trump's administration signals a shift toward a policy of maximum pressure and direct military intervention, aimed at neutralizing Tehran's strategic capabilities and reshaping the regional political landscape.
