Iran has officially rejected the allegations made by the Arab League in its recent ministerial statement.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei dismissed the claims as baseless and urged the organization to adopt a more balanced and constructive approach toward regional affairs.
Baghaei stated that the organization should not be influenced by the unilateral and non-constructive positions of certain member states. He emphasized that Tehran remains committed to the principles of the UN Charter, particularly regarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations. Furthermore, the spokesperson defended Iran's recent military actions against US bases in the region, describing them as legitimate self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter. He warned that regional countries allowing their territories to be used by the US and Israel for operations against Iran would bear international responsibility for the consequences.
The tension between Iran and the Arab League often centers on regional influence and security dynamics in the Middle East. This latest exchange occurs amid heightened geopolitical sensitivity involving US President Donald Trump's administration and its regional security policies. Iran continues to maintain that foreign military presence and external interventions are the primary drivers of instability in the region, advocating instead for a security framework based on mutual respect and cooperation among neighboring states.
