President Ilham Aliyev has approved the agreement between Azerbaijan and Belarus on the mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the agreement was signed between the governments of the two countries on January 16, 2026.
The document is designed to facilitate the movement of citizens and strengthen bilateral cooperation in the transport and logistics sectors. By recognizing driving permits issued by the respective authorities of both nations, the agreement simplifies administrative procedures for residents traveling or working between Baku and Minsk. This move aligns with Azerbaijan's ongoing efforts to expand its international legal framework and enhance the mobility of its citizens through bilateral diplomatic agreements.
