Transport and logistics cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan has evolved into a long-term partnership, holding strategic significance not only for the two nations and their neighbors but for a much broader geography, President Ilham Aliyev stated today.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during a joint press statement with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The head of state emphasized the importance of these collaborative efforts, noting: “Today, there are not many reliable and secure transport routes in the world that connect countries cooperating with one another. This is a significant achievement.”
The partnership between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan is pivotal for the development of the Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route). By leveraging their strategic locations on the Caspian Sea, both nations are actively working to enhance transit capacity, port infrastructure, and digital connectivity, which are essential for facilitating trade between East and West.
