The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan has amended the "Rules for Oversight of the Activities of Enforcement Officers," originally approved by a decree dated May 1, 2000.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a new decree to this effect, aimed at modernizing the execution process and ensuring transparency in the sale of seized assets.
Under the new regulations, the sequence for placing orders and meeting requirements for electronic auctions, as well as the sale of movable property valued at less than 5,000 manats, will now be managed through electronic trading platforms. These platforms must be determined in accordance with the requirements of the Law on Public Procurement. Previously, such sales were conducted through trade networks specifically designated by the executive service.
This legislative update is part of Azerbaijan's broader initiative to digitalize judicial and executive processes. By integrating asset sales with the national public procurement framework, the government aims to increase competition and efficiency in the disposal of movable property. These reforms align with the ongoing judicial-legal transformations in Azerbaijan, intended to strengthen the rule of law and improve the business climate in the capital, Baku, and throughout the regions.
