Hikmet Hajiyev expressed his gratitude to the Syrian Information Minister for his participation in the Shusha Global Media Forum. He noted that Azerbaijan will assume the chairmanship of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) next year and will host the organization's Summit. The Presidential Assistant further announced that Azerbaijan will host a meeting of information ministers from OIC member states, extending an invitation to the Syrian minister to attend the event.

The Syrian side highly valued Azerbaijan's support for the renovation and restoration of schools in Syria within the framework of ISESCO, describing it as a testament to the enduring friendship between the two nations. Furthermore, the meeting underscored the appreciation for Azerbaijan's consistent support for Syria's political unity, territorial integrity, and sovereignty.
The Shusha Global Media Forum, where this meeting took place, is a significant international platform established by Azerbaijan to foster dialogue among media professionals, policymakers, and experts. Since its inception, the forum has served as a venue for discussing global media trends, the role of journalism in conflict resolution, and the promotion of international cooperation, particularly in the context of the post-conflict development of the liberated Garabagh region.
